Evaluation Question 7
Evaluation 7: Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?
looking back i can see a a lot of improvement in my finished product in comparison to my preliminary task. my finished looks more professional and more like an actual magazine compared to my preliminary piece which doesn't.
Masthead
The mast head on my preliminary piece only loosely follows the conventions of a magazine. my preliminary mast head looks rushed and unprofessional where as my finished product follows the conventions on a well known music magazine its slightly covered but enough to still see what it says this is a common magazine convention with a well known and established brand as there house style tells there audience what the magazine as it would be easy to recognise with familiar audiences.
My finished piece looks a lot more professional . the font is easy to read and also sticks with my magazine conventions at the same time. i have used space on the top of my magazine well as i have filled my mast head so that white spaces are avoided.
Cover Images
my cover images of my preliminary task are less impressive than the ones of my finished piece. my finished piece has been carefully and cleverly edited with reason and target audience in mind whereas my preliminary task image is rushed and cropped in a messy way giving it a half hearted feel to my editing skills and time put in to it. this is because i wasn't sure how to use the photo but now i do it was much easier to use when it came to my finished piece. my final image is up to a professional standard whereas my preliminary picture was of a poor standard.
contents page
my preliminary contents page follows house style but lacks in professional layout and has too much white space and isnt very good in conparrison to my finshed piece which is of a professional standard and follows house colours aswell as layout of starmodels which in this case was kerrang! magazine. i have use large and easy to see text on my finished as this is a common convention of a music magazine of this genre as it gets the audiences attention and pulls them in with gripping content.

Evaluation Question 6
Evaluation 6: What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
while making my magazine i have used a variety of equipment and technologies things such as cameras , laptops and photoshop.
i used a Cannon eos 100D to take my still shots as well as using the rule of thirds when taking my shots. this makes it much more simpler when adding text and other photographs to my pictures.
i also frequently used an apple mac computer throughout my entire process of creating my magazine and preliminary magazine. it makes it a lot more easier to make blog posts and edit photographs with the large high definition screen.
i also used a software called Adobe Photoshop to edit and manipulate photo this came in much use to me as it helped my perfect and add text and other photographs into my magazine more free and easy.
i have also used prezi to present my work in a clever and professional way through the different themes and templates.
